The LA Hands Off Cuba committee is having a special program March 22, 2021, Monday night at 7:30 PM (PST) with Dr. Bita Amani, Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science epidemiologist who takes their medical students to Cuba annually.  The program also includes a segment Talking about Health Care: Cuba vs. US in a conversation with Dr. Steven Osuna, CSULB professor who also takes political science / sociology majors to Cuba.

The COVID difference: health care for profit, or for the people? Cuba, a nation of 11.3 million people, has had 50,590 COVID-19 infections, and 324 deaths! In stark contrast, LA County, 10 million people, has a staggering 1,192,000 COVID-19 infections and 21,453 deaths!
